Warm Up with our past events:

Weatherization Day - What is it?

Weatherization Day hosted State staff, and residents from Kenosha and Racine. Event participants learned about the Weatherization program. There were demonstrations of weatherization processes, information and an opportunity to learn about other community resources. Thanks to Lisa Marks, State Administrator of Energy, Housing and Community Resources!

Holliday Basket Distribution - How we are brightening holidays

In 2016, RKCAA coordinated and distributed 780 boxes of food to those in need. Thanks to our donors and partners! We offer special thanks to CNH and UAW Local 180, longtime supporters of the holiday basket project.

Stay Toasty with our future events:

Baby Expo - Better than ever, September 2017

In the fall of 2017, RKCAA and the Greater Racine Collaborative for Healthy Birth Outcomes will present the 5th Baby Expo!! The Baby Expo provides workshops, resource information from a wide range of health and social service providers, parenting kits and fun for over 130 expectant and new parents. We will have a special celebration for five year olds.

Kitchen Creations - Can you make eggplant parmesan on an electric indoor grill?

Every week during 2017, in our Kenosha WIC office, families may participate in an interactive “make and eat” activity. Dishes are nutritious, economical and tasty! Eggplant parmesan was a big hit in 2016.

Cuddle Up with our highlights:

WIC Presents at Statewide Indiana Infant Mortality Summit - Teaching Hoosiers....

At the invitation of the Indiana Health Department, Kenosha WIC Director Pam Halbach and WIC and Community Liaison Sharmain Harris presented and wowed the audience at the 2016 statewide Labor of Love Summit. Professionals from Indiana gathered to hear about RKCAA’s unique model promoting father engagement and support for WIC dads.

Dedicated Dads - Fathers' love and support

Participants from the Dedicated Dads project affirmed the value of love and support for their daughters at the Daddy-Daughter Dance. What a great opportunity for fun, fashion statements and forging relationships that strengthen fathers and their families.
