Emergency Food Organization
Emergency Food Organization
The R/K CAA is the Emergency Food Organization (EFO) which provides state commodities in Racine and Kenosha counties through the TEFAP and CSFP programs. These Federally funded programs help supplement the diets of low-income needy persons, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance.
Commodities are distributed to local shelters, food pantries, meal sites or other local agencies that in turn distribute directly to households or provide meals.
