How to Volunteer

Volunteer hours provided to the R/K CAA Head Start Program by parents and community members are called In-kind donations.  Every year our goal is to receive in-kind donations of 10,000 volunteers hours.

Here are ways that you can contribute to reaching our In-Kind goal!

  • Be on Policy Council
  • Attend Parent Center Meetings
  • Go on a field trip
  • Serve on a committee
  • Help with lunch or snack
  • Read a story to the class
  • Color and cut pictures out for teachers
  • Complete paperwork on home visits
  • Attend Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • Help in Parent Resource Center
  • Decorate classroom doors or bulletin boards
  • Join the Fatherhood Program
  • Participate in reading contests with your child
  • Attend Educational/Family Events

Your Head Start experience is what you choose to make it.  Be a part of Head Start- Volunteer!
