as we continue to spread support throughout 2018...

Warm Up with our past events:

Weatherization Day - What is it?

Weatherization Day hosted State staff and residents from Kenosha and Racine. Event participants learned about the Weatherization program. There were demonstrations of weatherization processes, information and an opportunity to learn about other community resources.

   Eat. Move. Thrive

Eat. Move. Thrive is an innovative tool to engage patients in improving their health. This non-pharmaceutical prescription pad enables providers to “write a prescription” for eating more fruits and vegetables, attend a local cooking class on healthy eating, participate in a free fitness activity or incorporate a mental wellness activity into each day. WIC, Fit Families, several physician offices and therapists are promoting Eat. Move. Thrive as a way for patients and families to take an active role in making healthy choices.

Stay Toasty with our future events:

Baby Expo - Better than ever, September 2018

In the fall of 2018, RKCAA and the Greater Racine Collaborative for Healthy Birth Outcomes will present Baby Expo!! The Baby Expo provides workshops, resource information from a wide range of health and social service providers, parenting kits and fun for over 300 people.

   Kitchen Creations

Every week during 2018, in our Kenosha WIC office, families may participate in an interactive “make and eat” activity. Dishes are nutritious, economical and tasty!

Cuddle Up with our highlights:

 Baby Expo 2017

Three dads compete to be crowned the Fastest Diapering Dad in Racine during the 5th Annual Baby Expo. Since the beginning, the Collaborative has been intentional about creating workshops and events that are father focused during Baby Expo.

   WIC Family Halloween Event 2017

The annual WIC Healthy Halloween event has become a favorite for staff and WIC families. In 2017, two hundred seventy seven enjoyed an evening of games and Trick or Treating at various stations throughout the office. Children also had an opportunity to prepare a treat in the Teaching Kitchen and sample kid-friendly healthy recipes.
