The provision of adequate, accessible and healthy food is central to RKCAA’s wellness strategy. Special attention is being given to improving the nutrition of those receiving food through RKCAA programs, access to fresh produce. RKCAA administers four programs that support individuals who are food insecure.
WIC promotes the health and well being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children. WIC provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition and more.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost.
